Recommendations by Unia

Unia carries out studies and research on discrimination in the workplace, in schools and in the housing market. It also reaches conclusions from the various individual and systematic files it keeps. Unia uses this knowledge to advise and issue recommendations for governments and a variety of other organisations.

Are there any discriminatory practices in the workings of a given administration or institute? Is a given regulation in need of amendment? We can offer recommendations for improvement.

Or does the problem lie with the law? In that case Unia can address its recommendations to the competent minister, state secretary or Parliament. Or, when governments draft a new bill or decree, we can ensure that equal opportunities are guaranteed for all.

The database on the Dutch and French versions of this page contains all of the recommendations issued by Unia in the past. What problems were identified, what solutions were put forward and how were the effects to be measured? We provide the full picture for each of the recommendations.
